Katie and Jacob celebrated their beautiful wedding day (Pre-Corona Craziness!!) at Live Oak Cafe in Southport, North Carolina!

With the salty air and coastal breezes, these two celebrated surrounded by their loved ones in this charming courtyard ceremony, with an intimate reception to follow (with some amazing food!!)

Southport, NC: The Perfect Wedding Weekend Destination!

When Katie called me last year and told me about her Southport wedding, I had to pinch myself. Southport is idyllic, one of the most charming little coastal towns — a small town center with all kinds of cute shops and haberdasheries. When I visit my all-time favorite Captain and his wife, who relocated from the Caribbean to Southport, we usually get around on bikes the whole weekend. Southport is the perfect laid-back, easy-paced place to gather with family and friends to celebrate a wedding.

I had the best time getting to pop around town and gather some establishing shots with the beautiful beachfront lawns, the incredible ancient oaks scattered throughout town, and those drone shots that are just to die for!!

Live Oak Cafe In Southport, NC: A Perfect Venue For Intimate Weddings

So I’ve passed by Live Oak Cafe for YEARS! It was such a treat getting to tour this sweet place. Live Oak Cafe in Southport, NC, exclusively opens for events. Their catering team did a phenomenal job in service — the food was terrific, and the chef came out and greeted everyone — it was such a gift to be a part of a cozy, intimate family gathering at such a wonderful venue. There were maybe 20-25 of us in total, and Live Oak Cafe did a fantastic job creating a beautiful space to celebrate.

Three Sisters. Three Weddings. Three Years!!

Katie is the third sister in her family we have been so privileged to be able to document her and Jacob’s wedding day moments -- it was so special to see everyone; familiar faces, the CUTEST ring-bearer and usher in the whole wide world, and to meet new friends who feel like family on Jacob's side.
